Electronics Technician III (Aerospace)

Location: Chandler, Arizona, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical electronic systems and components for aerospace and defense applications, including satellites, aircraft, missiles, and unmanned aerial systems.

What you will do

• Test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic and mechanical products, parts, equipment, and systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, work orders, and test procedures.
• Perform automated and manual testing with oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, ICT, flying probe, vibration, burn-in, and thermal-cycle systems.
• Calibrate, adjust, and troubleshoot units to the component level using electrical and mechanical calculations.
• Prepare non-conformance reports, document failures and initial root-cause findings, and collaborate with design and test engineering.
• Support Lean manufacturing initiatives, safety practices, limited soldering and microscope work, and troubleshooting of higher-complexity units.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of related experience or equivalent educational experience.
• Associate degree in Electronic or Mechanical Technology, or equivalent knowledge gained through experience or another recognized educational institution.
• Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting methods, circuitry or mechanical characteristics, and manufacturing or repair processes.
• Ability to learn test software and equipment, identify abnormal conditions, and work across time-entry, data-entry, training, PDM, and MRP systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English, manual dexterity, and ability to perform precise coordinated movements.
• Access to controlled data may be required; only US Persons will be considered where ITAR access is necessary. Government security investigation and classified-information eligibility may apply.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, manufacturing costs, and Lean manufacturing.
• Practical knowledge of engineering electronics, circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and related software.
