Manager, Distribution - IPSUK

Location: Onsite at the distribution site in Rooksley, Milton Keynes, UK. Monday–Friday, 10am–6pm, with flexibility to work across shifts from 7am–3pm and 3pm–11pm.

Salary: Circa £50,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Lead approximately 70 Distribution Associates, including Supervisors and Team Leaders, across two shifts.
• Plan workforce deployment and coordinate daily distribution activities to meet turnaround-time, productivity, quality, accuracy, and customer-service targets.
• Monitor process controls, operational metrics, shift reporting, and handovers; identify deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Promote health and safety standards, conduct safety checks, report incidents, and coordinate follow-up actions.
• Drive continuous improvement by reducing waste, improving efficiency, strengthening quality, and optimizing distribution processes.
• Train, coach, develop, and cross-train associates while managing performance, attendance, conduct, and operational capability.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a fast-paced distribution or operational environment, including at least 1 year in a management capacity.
• Strong understanding of distribution processes, operational controls, performance metrics, KPIs, productivity measures, and service levels.
• Proven experience leading teams, managing performance, resolving workplace challenges, and meeting operational deadlines.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, problem-solving, reporting, and shift-handover skills.
• Proficiency with distribution and operational management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with health and safety processes, training, onboarding, coaching, cross-training, and continuous improvement.
