What you will do
- Manage, train, coach, and motivate LGV and van drivers.
- Organise the night-shift team and deliver operational efficiency targets.
- Manage driver hours and control tachograph infringements.
- Ensure compliance with road transport legislation, O-licence requirements, health and safety standards, and company procedures.
- Create daily and weekly plans, monitor performance, and investigate accidents and incidents.
- Identify root causes and implement recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven people management experience in a busy transport function.
- Solid knowledge of road transport legislation, O-licence requirements, and driver hours.
- Previous transport management experience.
- Ability to work independently, manage changing priorities, and make sound operational decisions under pressure.
- Availability for a 4-on, 4-off night shift from 20:00 to 08:00, averaging 40.25 hours per week.
