Civil Engineering Assistant - Coop Student (Traffic Engineering)

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada; onsite in the Burnaby office. January to August 2027 work term, with a possible extension depending on project requirements.

Salary: CAD 24.60–26.60 per hour, commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Modify basic design drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Complete field assignments and outdoor site work as required by Project Managers.
• Perform design calculations under the direction of Project Managers and Engineers.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
• Plot, assemble, and deliver drawing submission packages and electronic file transfers.
• Maintain file naming and layer management standards and complete quality control procedures.

Requirements

• Currently completing a Civil Engineering degree; third-year standing or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous exposure to AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred.
• Previous experience in a civil engineering environment is preferred.
• Ability to produce accurate, high-quality work and cooperate effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to work outdoors and complete site assignments as required.
• A valid driver's licence is an asset for conducting site visits, but is not required.
