Refrigeration Facilities Operator (HVAC)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada; onsite

Salary: $54.52 CAD per hour

What you will do

• Operate building automation and facility management systems to maintain reliable environmental conditions and utilities across production, packaging, laboratory, warehouse, and office areas.
• Monitor BAS/FMS equipment and respond to GMP and business-critical alarms within required timeframes.
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration, HVAC, clean utility, steam, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, daily and weekly equipment checks, parts requests, and work-order updates in SAP.
• Coordinate major repairs, planned and unplanned shutdowns, contractors, trades, engineering, stores, and facility users to minimize service interruptions.
• Document equipment conditions, alarm responses, corrective actions, and abnormal conditions for managers, quality, and customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Valid Ontario Refrigeration Certificate and an accredited certificate program; a Millwright license or additional Ontario/interprovincial certification is preferred.
• At least four years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems, building automation systems, troubleshooting, blueprint reading, and computer applications.
• Experience troubleshooting equipment in GMP-regulated facilities and laboratories is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
