Salary: $142,000–$220,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular full-time employees.

What you will do

  • Design electromechanical solutions for avionics packaging, electrical interconnects, thermal management, and aircraft integration.
  • Perform structural, preliminary thermal, modal, finite element, and lifecycle analyses for avionics operating in harsh environments.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers on PCB constraints, circuit cards, harness integration, and mechanical interfaces.
  • Ensure avionics comply with performance, safety, environmental, EMI/EMC, and aerospace standards including DO-160, DO-254, DO-178C, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461.
  • Own designs from concept and design reviews through system validation, failure analysis, and flight-test readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience designing mechanical and electrical equipment for aerospace applications.
  • Expertise with CAD tools such as NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar software for 3D modeling, drawings, and system layouts.
  • Experience with PCB layout processes, advanced manufacturing methods, and mechanical component design.
  • Familiarity with eCAD tools such as Altium, Cadence, or Allegro, and harness design tools such as Capital or Zuken.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment; eligibility to obtain an S//SAR-level security clearance is desired.
