Salary: $100,000–$157,000 per year

What you will do

• Collaborate with the engineering design team to evolve the mechanical design of the hirify.global lunar rover.
• Design and analyze mechanical systems at the full-system, subsystem, and component levels using simulation and experimental test data.
• Define component requirements and communicate lunar operational constraints across the engineering team.
• Select flight hardware and develop build flows for integrating hardware into the vehicle.
• Develop and coordinate qualification and validation test plans with internal and external test facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field.
• At least 3 years of experience in mechanical systems engineering.
• Experience with CAD software for part modeling and development.
• Experience with finite element modeling and analysis software.
• Experience in design for manufacturing and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a STEM field.
• Experience with structures, mechanisms, electromechanical systems, or thermal hardware.
• Experience developing flight hardware programs and executing qualification and acceptance testing.
• Ability to mentor junior mechanical engineers.
