Facilities Engineer II - Full Time Nights

Location: hirify.global Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital, 1000 N. Westmoreland, Lake Forest, Illinois. Full-time onsite position, Tuesday through Saturday, 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Salary: $30.75–$41.51 per hour

What you will do

• Operate and maintain high-pressure boilers, chillers, cooling towers, generators, electrical switchgear, medical air compressors, and other facility systems.
• Perform safety checks, preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and equipment documentation.
• Analyze and balance chemicals in boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and closed-loop systems while following chemical-handling procedures.
• Monitor engineering systems, respond to plant emergencies and service requests, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Clean and paint equipment and piping in power-plant and mechanical rooms.
• Assist contractors and vendors with repairs, maintenance, and construction activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of relevant building maintenance experience.
• Technical maintenance training, HVAC/R trade school certification, or equivalent.
• Stationary Engineer license, or ability to obtain it within one year of hire.
• Valid driver's license and driving abstract.
• Ability to work the scheduled overnight shift onsite.

Nice to have

• Hospital or military experience.
• One year of boiler maintenance training.
• Current universal refrigerant certification.
