HVAC Technician (Overnights)

Location: Onsite in Rensselaer, New York, United States. Overnight schedule: Saturday-Wednesday, 10:00pm-8:30am. Training schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm.

Salary: $24.76-$38.70 per hour.

What you will do

• Start up, operate, monitor, and shut down HVAC and facility equipment.
• Maintain coolers, freezers, ultra-low-temperature freezers, refrigeration chillers, chilled-water systems, condenser pumps, and air compressors.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial air-handling systems and manufacturing support equipment.
• Operate the facility-wide building automation system and conduct daily HVAC equipment rounds.
• Participate in rotational on-call coverage for site emergencies.
• Coordinate planned and unplanned work with Facilities Management departments, contractors, and vendors.

Requirements

• AAS degree and relevant experience: 2+ years for Technician II, 5+ years for Technician III, or 8+ years for Technician IV.
• Experience with AC, heating, chilled-water systems, building automation controls, and maintenance.
• Solid understanding of industrial HVAC systems, including industrial air-handler units.
• EPA certification for refrigeration gases.
• Ability to become fully gown-qualified for work in production areas.
• Ability to follow SOPs, cGMPs, GDPs, and quality standards while maintaining plant equipment safely and efficiently.

Nice to have

• Experience with electronic, PLC, mechanical, and building automation systems in the pharmaceutical industry.
