Maintenance Engineer (Medical Office Buildings)

Location: Seattle, WA; full-time on-site in North Seattle. On-call approximately every five weeks, with travel to buildings within a 60-minute metropolitan area.

Salary: $36.00–$42.50 per hour, plus an annual bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Perform preventive and emergency maintenance, repairs, and building upkeep for medical office buildings.
• Maintain building automation, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, life safety, and emergency generation systems.
• Complete work orders, maintenance records, and assigned repairs in a timely manner.
• Support facility operations through periodic pressure washing, leaf blowing, and other upkeep duties.
• Provide on-call support approximately every five weeks and travel between metropolitan-area buildings.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in facilities maintenance.
• Thorough understanding of building automation systems, electrical systems, controls, condensing boilers, package rooftop HVAC, variable air volume systems, chemical treatment, emergency generation equipment, plumbing, transfer switches, and life safety systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and use Microsoft Office, a computer, and a smartphone for work orders and email.
• Strong organization, verbal and written communication, multitasking, flexibility, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently, lift 50 pounds, and climb ladders.
