Building Maintenance Technician (HVAC Specialty)

Location: Single facility site in Pittsburgh, PA; on-site

Salary: $40–$50 per hour plus full benefits

What you will do

• Perform facility maintenance and minor construction, including drywall repairs, framing, patching, painting, and structural fit-outs.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on building infrastructure and facility equipment.
• Service, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Manage material flow, support deliveries, and safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Build wooden crates, pallets, and packaging for equipment and materials.
• Coordinate with facility leadership and engineering teams, document completed work, and resolve site issues.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in commercial or industrial facility maintenance, handyman work, construction, or building engineering.
• Working knowledge of HVAC and building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• EPA Universal certification and forklift certification, or the ability to obtain forklift certification after hire.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, drywalling, framing, and general building repairs.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs and work at heights when necessary.
• Strong communication, reliability, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Formal HVAC/R trade school training.
• Experience in multi-site commercial facilities, warehouses, or technology and R&D operational spaces.
