Process Engineer (Robotics and Automation)

Location: Stafford, CT, United States; onsite production-floor role. U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status is required due to ITAR regulations.

What you will do

• Research, develop, and implement automation improvements on the production floor.
• Work with the engineering team to design, develop, and implement 3D-printed tooling.
• Create mechanical designs for fixtures, grippers, tooling, brackets, and robotic solutions.
• Research, maintain, and operate 3D printers.
• Select appropriate components and materials for automated equipment and tooling.
• Collaborate with production associates, customers, suppliers, and engineering colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with experience in robotics, automation, or 3D printing, or a technical degree with 5+ years of related engineering or technical experience.
• Proficiency in mechanical design for automated machines, including fixtures, grippers, and tooling.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, Adobe, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Access; experience using the TTM Praxa system for engineering tasks.
• Strong troubleshooting, analysis, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
• English communication skills and U.S. citizenship or permanent residency are required; annual corrected-vision eye exams with minimum 20/20 vision are also required.

• Experience with conveyor systems, electronics manufacturing, suppliers, customers, or project management.
