Welder (Fusion Power)

hirify.global is a fusion power company developing custom generator technology and working toward a commercial fusion power plant for clean electricity.

What you will do

• Lead welding and fabrication projects for custom assemblies used in fusion generator production.
• Fabricate and repair components using MIG, TIG, and arc welders, plasma cutters, oxyacetylene torches, and related equipment.
• Cut, join, and shape metal parts according to product specifications and fabrication requirements.
• Interpret engineering assembly and fabrication drawings and provide design-for-manufacturability feedback to Design Engineering.
• Operate saws, grinders, drill presses, forklifts, cranes, and other power and hand tools.
• Coordinate with engineers, production supervisors, and shop personnel while following safety and PPE requirements.

Requirements

• Knowledge of welding rods, fluxes, and metals used in fabrication.
• Experience operating MIG/TIG welders, plasma cutters, oxyacetylene torches, and related tools.
• Understanding of occupational safety practices and welding trade procedures.
• Ability to calculate measurements and quantities and interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
• Ability to work on-site in Everett, Washington.
