Journey-Level Millwright (Manufacturing)

Location: Rochester, NY; onsite work at customer facilities in the Rochester area. Regular travel within the Rochester area and occasional project-based travel are required.

Salary: $30–$45 per hour, plus potential annual incentive and/or long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Install, align, commission, dismantle, move, and reinstall industrial machinery and equipment.
• Use layout plans, blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and precision instruments for equipment installation and alignment.
• Align shafts, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and other mechanical systems.
• Perform bolting, welding, riveting, fastening, machining, rigging, and crane work.
• Assist with mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Follow OSHA and company safety standards, participate in safety audits, and mentor less experienced team members.

Requirements

• Completed millwright apprenticeship, a journey card, or 10–15 years of consistent hands-on millwright experience at journey-level scope.
• Demonstrated skill in precision alignment, rigging, and industrial machinery installation.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Physical ability to climb, lift heavy objects, work at heights, enter confined spaces, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Availability for a regular full-time schedule Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with flexibility for overtime.

Nice to have

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• CDL Class A license.
