Journey-Level Electrician (Industrial Electrical Systems)

Location: Rochester, NY; onsite work at customer facilities in the Rochester area with occasional project-based travel

What you will do

• Install, maintain, repair, and commission industrial electrical systems at customer facilities.
• Perform wiring, conduit installation, motor controls, drive installation, power distribution, and machine and skid builds.
• Read and work from electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and job specifications.
• Use multimeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to inspect and troubleshoot systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, programmers, planners, project managers, clients, and project partners.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety audits, report unsafe conditions, and mentor less experienced team members.

Requirements

• Completed apprenticeship program, journey card, or 10–15 years of consistent hands-on electrical experience at a journey-level scope.
• Proficiency in industrial electrical systems, motor controls, drives, power distribution, and machine wiring.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work onsite in the Rochester area, including at customer facilities, with occasional project-based travel.
• Ability to climb, lift heavy objects, work at heights, enter confined spaces, and work in hot, cold, and all-weather conditions.
• Regular full-time schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with flexibility for overtime.

Nice to have

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• CDL Class A license.
