Electrical Maintenance Technician IV

Location: North Chicago, Illinois, United States; onsite role with a 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., Monday–Friday shift.

Salary: $30.70–$55.40 per hour.

What you will do

• Maintain, service, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in utilities and facilities areas.
• Repair commercial and industrial equipment, including variable frequency drives, motors and controls, power distribution systems, and lighting management systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, infrared scanning, and static bonding and grounding.
• Communicate work status through email, voicemail, and the Maximo maintenance management system.
• Develop techniques, job plans, and service protocols for newly acquired or developed equipment.
• Follow GxP, electrical safety, and safe-work policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma with 5+ years of experience, a relevant certificate with 3+ years of experience, or an associate technical degree with 1+ year of experience.
• Knowledge of basic power tools and proper use of hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting.
• Experience with at least 480-volt systems; the role involves electrical equipment and voltages up to 13,200 volts.
• Ability to complete scheduled, computer-based, and development-plan training.
• Ability to work onsite in North Chicago, Illinois, during the specified weekday shift.
