Electrical Maintenance Technician II (Industrial Electrical Systems)

Location: North Chicago, Illinois, United States; onsite role. Shift: 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., Monday–Friday.

Salary: $23.80–$43.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Maintain, service, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems used in utilities and facilities areas.
• Diagnose commercial and industrial equipment, including variable frequency drives, motors and controls, power distribution systems, and lighting management systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including infrared scanning, static bonding, and grounding.
• Communicate work status through email, voicemail, and the Maximo maintenance management system.
• Develop and document job plans, service protocols, and techniques for verifying equipment performance.
• Follow GxP, electrical safety, and established company work procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma with 5+ years of experience, a relevant certificate with 3+ years of experience, or an associate technical degree with 1+ years of experience.
• Experience working with at least 480-volt electrical systems; the role involves voltages up to 13,200 volts.
• Knowledge of basic power tools and the ability to use appropriate hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting.
• Ability to complete scheduled, computer-based, and development-plan training.
