Senior Program Manager, Test Execution (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. Hybrid work is available, with at least 3 days per week in the office; the role requires Thursday–Monday scheduling and weekend on-site presence.

Base salary: $100,000–$145,000 per year, plus annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary escalation point for test execution across multiple engineering workstreams during weekend coverage.
• Execute response playbooks, resolve first-tier issues, and escalate safety, engineering, operational, and leadership concerns appropriately.
• Make real-time decisions on resource substitution, test sequencing, and blocked tracks or routes.
• Review execution results, prepare weekly status reports, and recommend changes to upcoming test plans.
• Track blockers, delays, and anomalies while maintaining clear documentation for weekday teams.
• Expand the contingency playbook by documenting novel failure modes and their resolutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in program management, project management, product operations, technical operations, or a related field.
• Ability to operate independently, make first-tier decisions, and escalate issues effectively without immediate access to the weekday team.
• Working knowledge across multiple engineering or test workstreams and the ability to understand hardware and software interactions, including sensors, calibration, and software versions.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, including status reporting and leadership escalation.
• Safety-focused approach and comfort working in a fast-paced environment with incomplete information and shifting priorities.
• Availability for a Thursday–Monday schedule with required weekend on-site work.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting multiple program management workstreams or working in a floating or on-call operational role.
• Experience managing senior leadership relationships and escalation expectations.
• Experience using basic data, dashboards, or reporting to support decisions.
• Experience in autonomous vehicles, automotive, robotics, logistics, or similarly complex operational environments.
