Nurse Clinician-Urology Full Time Days

Location: Lake Forest Hospital campus, Lake Forest, Illinois; may require travel to Grayslake or Glenview. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Salary: USD 34.50–55.20 per hour

What you will do

• Assess patients by phone and in person, identify care needs, implement nursing interventions, and document findings in medical records.
• Perform routine nursing duties including phlebotomy, medication administration, vital-sign measurement, and laboratory specimen preparation.
• Perform specialty procedures such as conscious sedation, chemotherapy administration, inseminations, implantable pain-pump adjustments, and wound excision and drainage.
• Triage incoming telephone calls, interpret test abnormalities, manage urgent or emergent situations, and operate emergency equipment when required.
• Coordinate care with physicians, clinical departments, administrative units, outside agencies, and facilities.
• Provide patient and staff education, support policy implementation, and delegate tasks in accordance with Illinois law and organizational protocols.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Professional Nurse license in Illinois required.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR certification required.
• Current nursing experience within the past five years, or graduation from nursing school within the past two years.
• Applicants with less than six months of experience require approval from the NMG Director of Professional Development.
• Ability to work full time, 40 hours per week, on the Lake Forest Hospital campus and travel to nearby clinic locations as needed.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• One to two years of ambulatory or acute care experience.
