Registered Nurse - PRN

Location: Covington, Florence, Ft. Wright, and Georgetown, Kentucky. Onsite PRN work as needed, Monday through Friday, day shift.

What you will do

• Assess patient care needs, conduct nursing evaluations, and provide treatment within the scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners on further evaluation and care.
• Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments, including EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.
• Administer medications and emergency care within the legal scope of practice.
• Maintain medical equipment, patient health records, infection-control procedures, and a safe clinical environment.
• Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow-up care.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an associate degree in nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or ambulatory care clinic.
• Strong phlebotomy skills are required.
• ACLS, occupational health nursing, emergency nursing, or case management certification may be required for some sites.

Nice to have

• Previous primary care or outpatient experience.
• BSN from a four-year college or university.
• COHN/COHN-S, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management certification.
