Geotechnical Lab Technician

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; onsite field and laboratory work

What you will do

• Collect soil samples from field sites using appropriate sampling techniques.
• Conduct field tests for soil density, moisture content, and compaction.
• Perform laboratory tests including grain size analysis, Atterberg limits, and soil classification.
• Record, analyze, and interpret test data and prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Maintain and calibrate field and laboratory equipment while following safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Communicate findings to the Project Manager or Supervisor and support proposals, quality control, and quality assurance programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of soil properties and testing methods.
• Ability to conduct field tests, use laboratory equipment, and accurately analyze test results.
• Clear documentation skills and knowledge of safety procedures.
• Ability to collaborate, manage tasks efficiently, maintain a clean work environment, and adapt to changing project conditions.
