Environmental Field Specialist I

Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States; outdoor, field-based work at customer sites.

What you will do

• Connect hoses, pumps, and transfer systems to load wastewater into DOT-approved tanker trucks.
• Monitor flow rates, tank levels, and capacities; perform line clearing, shutdown, inspections, and equipment maintenance.
• Collect wastewater samples and complete load tickets, manifests, chain-of-custody records, and inventory documentation.
• Coordinate truck staging, loading schedules, site flow, and communication with drivers, dispatch, and site teams.
• Support waste consolidation, disposal, shipment preparation, and coordination with TSDFs.
• Operate forklifts and assist with loading and unloading as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a science background is preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of RCRA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is required.
• Ability to obtain a CDL and additional certifications such as CHMM.
• Strong safety focus and adherence to PPE requirements, including hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots.
