Junior Quality Control Inspector (1st shift)

Location: Dallas, Texas, USA; onsite in the production facility. Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM.

Flex is a diversified manufacturing partner supporting the design, production, and delivery of innovative products; this role supports the Low Voltage Switchgear Department and may transition to Axiom following the planned 2027 spin-off.

What you will do

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products against drawings and specifications.
• Verify and document the condition and quantity of items received from suppliers, reporting discrepancies.
• Use observation and testing to identify material and manufacturing-process faults, with a focus on mechanical and wiring quality.
• Complete inspection reports, logs, checklists, quality records, and corrective action requests.
• Communicate inspection findings and recommended remedies to the supervisor.
• Operate inspection and measurement equipment and report repair needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of quality inspection experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment, particularly welding.
• Thorough understanding of welding products or processes.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to safely operate powered equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks; physical ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and lift, push, or pull up to 35 pounds.
