Med Tech (Per-Diem)

Location: Linwood, New Jersey, USA; onsite senior living community

Salary: $22.00–$23.00 per hour

What you will do

• Administer or assist with self-administration of prescribed medications under RN or LPN supervision.
• Maintain accurate medication records, medical records, and written documentation.
• Provide resident care according to individual care plans.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ physical condition, cognition, and emotional status.
• Protect residents’ comfort, privacy, and dignity while delivering services.

Requirements

• Successful completion of Medication Technician training and periodic competency testing.
• Ability to administer medications in accordance with state regulations.
• At least six months of experience working with seniors in personal care, home health, hospital, or long-term care.
• High school diploma or equivalent and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of and ability to follow HIPAA policies.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
