Registered Nurse-Labor & Delivery Full Time Nights (Medtech)

Location: 1000 N. Westmoreland, Lake Forest, Illinois, United States; full-time night shift.

Salary: USD 34.50–55.20 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, identify nursing diagnoses, create care plans, and document patient outcomes.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, including discharge planning and referrals.
• Provide patient and family education on medications, treatment plans, patient portals, and available resources.
• Administer medications safely, monitor patient conditions, complete handoffs, and maintain a safe care environment.
• Support quality initiatives addressing falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTI, central line infections, and other clinical metrics.
• Lead or support colleagues, patient care technicians, students, and new staff through coordination, mentoring, and precepting.

Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• BSN required; an ADN is acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• Ability to use electronic medical records, physiologic monitoring, medication administration technology, and related clinical systems.
• Commitment to evidence-based nursing practice and professional development.
