Interventional Radiology Tech (Interventional Imaging)

What you will do

• Perform vascular interventional, neurointerventional, and spine interventional imaging procedures.
• Assess patients, review clinical histories, select procedure protocols, and prepare patients for imaging.
• Operate imaging equipment, position patients, and generate high-quality interventional images.
• Provide patient care and education throughout procedures, including lifting and transporting patients when needed.
• Apply radiation safety practices and document procedures, charges, and patient records.
• Support quality improvement, equipment maintenance, supply availability, and coordination with other hospital departments.

Requirements

• Current Illinois license through IEMA required.
• ARRT registry in radiography required.
• CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Graduation from an accredited radiography program required.
• Preferred: 1–3 years of interventional imaging experience and an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
• Advanced certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology is preferred.
