TL;DR
Senior Project Manager (Cross-functional Project Management): Leading large, complex projects from initiation to closure in an international organisation with an accent on governance, stakeholder management, project recovery, and reusable project standards. Focus on stabilising off-track projects, preparing decisions for senior steering committees, coaching project managers, and improving delivery methods across multiple sites.
Location: Hybrid in Reinbek, Germany; includes flexible working hours, home-office options, and up to four weeks of remote work from an EU country per year.

What you will do
- Lead large, cross-functional projects independently from initiation to closure, including planning, governance, steering committees, and stakeholder management.
- Facilitate problem-solving sessions and develop solutions to drive project success.
- Take over projects that have drifted off course, diagnose issues, and re-establish delivery structure.
- Navigate complex situations with senior leadership and prepare well-founded decisions for steering committees.
- Act as a quality assurance partner and coach for department-led projects and project managers.
- Develop project management standards, templates, training formats, and reusable methods across company sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Several years of independently leading complex, cross-functional projects with full ownership from initiation to closure.
- Experience managing senior stakeholders, conflicting departmental interests, and projects already in progress.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and independent working skills.
- Business-level German and English communication skills at C1 level.
- Experience using common project management tools for task and milestone tracking.
Nice to have
- Experience with ERP or comparable large-scale system implementations.
- IPMA Level C or equivalent certification.
- Experience in manufacturing or regulated production environments.
- Experience developing project standards, templates, or training formats.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or international multi-site organisations.
