Registered Nurse-Emergency Department

Location: McHenry, Illinois, USA; onsite emergency department role

Salary: USD 37.00–55.20 per hour, plus shift differentials

What you will do

• Assess acutely ill patients, identify expected outcomes, and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Implement, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate nursing care delivery.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff.
• Document care plans, communications, interventions, and patient responses in the health record.
• Participate in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
• Use available evidence and research findings to guide clinical practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; an Associate Degree in Nursing is acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• At least one year of registered nursing experience qualifies for a starting rate of USD 38.11 per hour, plus shift differentials.

Nice to have

• Experience in the emergency room, pediatric emergency room, or another relevant clinical area.
• Trauma Nurse Specialist, Emergency Communications Registered Nurse, Certified Pediatric Nurse, or Certified Emergency Nurse credentials.
