Director, Accounting (SaaS)

Location: Los Angeles, United States; candidates within a reasonable commute to an office must work onsite at least 3 days per week.

Salary: $193,000–$242,000 per year, plus eligible short- and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and scale a global General Ledger accounting team.
• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, consolidations, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and flux analysis.
• Ensure balance sheet integrity, internal reporting accuracy, US GAAP compliance, and adherence to corporate policies.
• Drive adoption of AI-powered financial automation, machine learning features, modern ERP platforms, and hirify.global products within accounting workflows.
• Lead accounting initiatives for enterprise data warehouse reporting, financial intelligence, and analytics.
• Partner strategically with Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal, People/HR, IT, Product, Technology, Sales/GTM, and Data Science; oversee audits, SOX controls, and technical accounting policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA license required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in enterprise software, SaaS, or technology sectors.
• 4+ years of direct people management and team leadership experience.
• Strong fluency with NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, hirify.global, and related enterprise finance platforms.
• Experience with AI tools, automated financial workflows, data warehouse reporting, digital transformation, US GAAP, and SOX controls.

Nice to have

• Experience with Customer Zero or internal software adoption and product feedback initiatives.
• Experience deploying AI/RPA workflows, intelligent close tools, or advanced BI and data warehouse reporting tools.
• Big Four or top-tier public accounting experience.
• Experience optimizing global close processes and integrating financial systems in a public company.
