TL;DR
Senior Manager, Payroll & Expenses (Payroll Accounting/Corporate Finance): Overseeing payroll accounting, corporate card and travel expense programs, cash operations, and related financial controls with an accent on compliance, international expansion, and operational scalability. Focus on leading payroll and expense teams, implementing financial systems and automation, managing SOX controls, and optimizing month-end close and payment operations.

Location: Hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the Wilmington, Massachusetts office; up to 10% travel may be required.

Salary: $150,000–$206,800 annual base pay, varying by knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

  • Lead and develop the payroll accounting team, overseeing payroll processing, accrual calculations, and compliance with applicable wage and hour laws.
  • Lead payroll accounting for new-country and regional expansions, establishing compliant processes, controls, and accounting practices.
  • Oversee corporate travel and expense and purchasing card programs, including card administration, policy enforcement, audits, and vendor management.
  • Partner with Finance Systems, Treasury, and Information Technology to optimize systems supporting payroll, cash management, expenses, and card transactions.
  • Supervise cash accounting activities, including corporate card accruals, payments, and wire, check, and ACH funding transactions.
  • Lead payroll and corporate expense initiatives, including system implementations, automation, scalability, month-end close optimization, and SOX control documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of relevant payroll and accounting experience.
  • Prior direct or functional management experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and adaptability skills.
  • High attention to detail when managing analytical tasks.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid schedule with at least three days per week in the Wilmington, MA office; a valid driver’s license and ability to travel by car or air are required.
