Web Application Developer (Java)

Location: On-site in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA. Minimal travel to stores and distribution centers may be required.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and implement Java web application components and enhancements.
• Integrate internal and external systems, APIs, and web services.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle for new features and system improvements.
• Use Claude and similar AI-assisted development tools to explore solutions, validate logic, improve documentation, testing, and debugging, and strengthen code quality.
• Conduct system and functional testing to verify application quality and performance.
• Collaborate with business users, project managers, QA teams, and other IT staff to deliver reliable solutions.

Requirements

• Proficiency in core Java development and Java EE components.
• Hands-on experience developing Java-based web applications and REST APIs.
• Advanced SQL query-writing experience with MySQL, DB2, and Snowflake.
• Experience with XML, JSON, web page design, stylesheets, and cloud integrations.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work on-site and remain seated for extended periods while using computers.
