Mechanical Engineer – Pressure Systems

What you will do

• Develop mechanical components and pressure-system subsystems for respiratory therapy products.
• Balance patient and customer needs, usability, accessibility, therapy performance, cost, quality, and design for manufacture and assembly.
• Collaborate with industrial designers and mechanical, electronics, systems, software, and manufacturing engineers.
• Build and evaluate prototypes using additive manufacturing and hands-on fabrication techniques.
• Design and conduct verification and validation testing under expected operating conditions.
• Document designs and test results, communicate technical risks, and support DFMEA and quality-management activities.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• Experience with 3D CAD modelling; Creo experience is used, but other CAD packages are acceptable.
• Analytical, curious, and innovative approach with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work within quality-management systems and applicable regulatory requirements.

Nice to have

• Product-development experience, preferably in medical devices or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience or interest in fluid dynamics, acoustics, pneumatic systems, pumps, blowers, or electromechanical systems.
• Experience with ANSYS CFD or injection-moulded component design.
