Senior Project Engineer - Design (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Provide line management, technical leadership, and mentoring to a team of design engineers.
• Manage assigned projects and programmes, delivering engineering commitments within schedule, quality, and budget requirements.
• Provide advanced design engineering guidance across the design-to-manufacturing lifecycle.
• Ensure components meet customer specifications, Design Authority requirements, and airworthiness regulations.
• Lead feasibility studies for new work and extensions, coordinating engineering packages with specialists, customers, and suppliers.
• Embed lessons learned and develop improved engineering procedures and approaches.

Requirements

• BSc or BEng degree with at least 3 years of relevant design engineering experience, including management or project management responsibility.
• Alternatively, lesser qualifications with at least 5 years of relevant design engineering experience, including management or project management responsibility.
• Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft structures and systems or a specialist design engineering discipline.
• Strong knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, analysis methods, testing procedures, and engineering processes.
• Experience engaging and collaborating with senior leaders, customers, suppliers, and Certification Authorities.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, organisational, and strategic execution skills.
