Focus on preparing engineering changes, leading technical studies, resolving production issues in real time, and coaching junior design engineers.
Location: Belfast, United Kingdom; fully on-site permanent night-shift role

What you will do
- Act as the primary night-shift engineering authority for Material Review Board design activities.
- Provide rapid engineering dispositions for manufacturing defects, approve structural concessions, and resolve complex shop-floor build issues.
- Ensure structural and systems designs comply with certification requirements and prepare engineering changes and modification proposals.
- Collaborate with internal departments on manufacturing issues, repairs, and in-service aircraft and component support.
- Lead trade studies and technical tasks supporting production builds, while delivering design outputs on schedule.
- Direct and coach junior design engineers, prepare progress reports, and represent design in technical reviews.
Requirements
- HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline and at least 3 years of relevant design engineering experience.
- Availability and commitment to a dedicated permanent night-shift pattern.
- Practical experience with metallic and composite structures and/or systems installation design.
- Experience using CATIA V5 or similar CAD tools and standard engineering IT software.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and technical problem-solving skills.
- BPSS and Export Control checks, including a criminal record check, are required.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Fibersim and/or Enovia.
- Experience supporting concessions.
- Knowledge of wing structures.
