Senior Design Engineer - Dimensional Management (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Deliver technical tolerancing solutions for aircraft structures and systems installation packages from conceptual schemes through production detail design.
• Apply advanced tolerancing methods, 1D/3D stack-up analysis, and dimensional management toolsets across aircraft programmes.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Stress, Aerodynamics, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to balance product design principles with manufacturing constraints.
• Provide rapid engineering dispositions for manufacturing defects and non-conformances.
• Lead trade studies and ensure technical deliverables meet hirify.global quality standards and production schedules.
• Coach junior design engineers and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum HNC in an engineering-related subject and at least 3 years of relevant engineering experience, ideally in design and dimensional management.
• Knowledge of ISO tolerance annotation, 1D/3D stack-up analysis, and MECAMASTER or 3DCS toolsets.
• Knowledge and experience with metallic and composite structures.
• Ability to analyze, propose, and solve technical problems.
• Ability to work collaboratively at both site and group level.
• Successful applicants will be subject to BPSS and Export Control checks, including a criminal record check.

Nice to have

• Computer-aided design experience, particularly CATIA V5.
• Experience supporting concessions or working in manufacturing.
• Project management skills.
