Clinical Shift Coordinator RN (Medical Care Center)

Location: Onsite at 25 N. Winfield Rd., Winfield, Illinois, United States; full-time night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with rotating weekends.

Salary: USD 38.50–61.60 per hour.

What you will do

• Coordinate nursing care, patient placement, staffing assignments, and daily unit operations during the night shift.
• Monitor unstable, complex, and high-risk patient conditions while ensuring patient safety and continuity of care.
• Oversee staff compliance with regulatory requirements, documentation standards, life-safety procedures, and patient safety goals.
• Lead staff huddles and rounding, coach nurses and patient care staff, support onboarding, and contribute to performance evaluations.
• Manage staffing schedules, timekeeping, charges, equipment accountability, and cost-effectiveness initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians, managers, educators, other units, patients, and families to resolve issues and improve care quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and at least three years of RN experience.
• Active RN license in the State of Illinois required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification and telemetry competency.
• Effective English communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong customer service abilities.
• Basic computer knowledge and the ability to assess when interpreter services are required.
• Compliance with the Illinois Practice Act for Nursing and ANA Standards of Professional Nursing Practice.

Nice to have

• Master of Science in Nursing.
• Two or more years of experience in a relevant clinical specialty.
• NRN or specialty certification such as CV-RN, CHFN, CCRN, PCCN, CNML, or NE-BC.
• Specialty certification obtained within two years of employment.
