Data Operations Associate (AI)

Location: Hybrid, New York City; full-time, in-person

Base salary: $100,000–$120,000 annually, depending on experience; eligible for a performance-based cash bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Manage, improve, and create data quality-assurance workflows and processes.
• Investigate data errors and escalations, identify root causes, and handle ad hoc data requests.
• Build compliance guardrails into data processes and ensure sensitive information is handled correctly.
• Drive end-to-end survey launches with Intelligence Strategy & Operations and Market Research teams.
• Develop approaches, AI skills, and tooling for unstructured data workflows.
• Manage offshore service-provider relationships and maintain reporting tools and standardized operating procedures.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Data Operations or as a QA analyst, including troubleshooting data errors, escalations, and edge cases.
• Experience implementing data validation, cleaning, and quality-assurance processes.
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel or Google Sheets, with practical use of AI tools.
• Strong attention to detail, clear communication, ownership, and comfort working with ambiguous early-stage data infrastructure.
• Ability to work full-time in person in New York City.

Nice to have

• Experience building a data or analytics function at an early-stage technology startup.
• Compliance experience identifying and redacting MNPI or PII.
• Exposure to AI/LLM-related data pipelines, including labeling, moderation, or quality scoring.
• Experience in market research, expert networks, or financial services.
• Experience with Looker, Tableau, or Mode for stakeholder-facing dashboards.
