VDC Project Coordinator I

Location: Irvine, California, USA; ability to travel to construction project sites required.

Salary: USD 58,440–70,128 per year

What you will do

• Coordinate VDC functions, standards, digital delivery platforms, project models, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, project discipline leads, and the VDC Regional Manager.
• Support multidisciplinary model review meetings and help identify design conflicts, incomplete deliverables, and ambiguities.
• Manage drawing scales, sheet layouts, building breakdowns, floor-plan match lines, and package transmittals.
• Assist with VDC tool training, process implementation, model compliance audits, and vendor-equipment conversion into Revit.
• Participate in VDC webinars and conferences to identify and share AEC technology innovations.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Computer-Aided Design, bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, a construction management certificate, or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of experience in an EPC firm or equivalent construction-industry experience.
• Required proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, other design authoring platforms, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of contractual delivery methods for design and construction projects.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to travel to construction project sites.

Nice to have

• Experience with Revit add-ins, Dynamo, Bluebeam, BIM 360/ACC, Assemble, clash tracking, laser scanning, iConstruct, model-based point layout, or AR/VR.
• Knowledge of VDC documentation standards such as BEP and BIMForum.
• Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Understanding of building design and construction sequencing.
