TL;DR
BIM Modeling Engineer (Civil 3D/Construction): Developing and maintaining 3D/4D civil information models for heavy civil and infrastructure projects with an accent on design coordination, constructability review, quantity takeoffs, and field layout. Focus on detecting cross-discipline clashes, integrating model data with 4D scheduling and machine-control systems, and producing accurate coordination and as-built documentation for active construction sites.
Location: Point Pleasant, West Virginia, United States; primarily active construction job sites with travel required within the United States and nationally based subsequent projects.

What you will do
- Develop and maintain 3D and 4D building and civil information models from design drawings and survey data.
- Perform clash detection and coordinate structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical model conflicts.
- Support quantity takeoffs and cost estimating using model data.
- Maintain model version control and align models with current design revisions.
- Produce coordination drawings, sections, and visualizations for field execution.
- Support as-built model development and project closeout documentation.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience in BIM/VDC modeling, civil engineering, or construction technology.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, or equivalent BIM software.
- Working knowledge of civil site design, grading, and earthwork concepts.
- Experience supporting heavy civil and infrastructure projects.
- Strong spatial reasoning, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with engineering, survey, and field construction teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with Trimble, Topcon, or similar machine-control and GPS grading systems.
- Experience with 4D scheduling integration.
