CAD/BIM Technician (Revit/AutoCAD)

Location: Hybrid, based in Baltimore, MD or Washington, DC; occasional travel for field surveys and site documentation

Salary: $70,000–$95,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses

What you will do

• Produce conceptual sketches, layout exhibits, coordinated drawings, renderings, and design documentation across multiple disciplines.
• Develop and maintain BIM models in accordance with BIM execution plans, modeling standards, and level-of-development requirements.
• Translate engineering and architectural direction into accurate model geometry and drawing sheets through progressive design milestones.
• Incorporate redlines and design changes, resolve review comments, and prepare final drawing packages and design submittals.
• Support model federation, multidisciplinary coordination, version control, and identification of potential cross-disciplinary conflicts.
• Prepare field survey documentation, existing-condition layouts, utility and HVAC/ventilation sketches, and construction-phase model updates.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or technical certification in CAD, BIM, drafting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years of experience producing CAD/BIM drawings and models in a multidisciplinary design environment.
• Experience supporting architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, or civil design development.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain any security clearance required by assigned programs.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, document control, and the ability to manage multiple design tasks under deadlines.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Navisworks or comparable coordination software.
• Experience with federal, institutional, industrial, Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration, or national laboratory-adjacent projects.
