Senior Manager Manufacturing Operations

Location: Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico; onsite five days a week

Manufactures construction and mining equipment, engines, industrial gas turbines, and diesel-electric locomotives for customers worldwide.

What you will do

• Direct daily plant operations across production, manufacturing, maintenance, engineering support, safety, regulatory compliance, distribution, and warehousing.
• Oversee hiring, performance management, development, and training for plant personnel and operating-function support teams.
• Manage the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of operating methods, equipment, systems, and infrastructure.
• Direct production scheduling to meet internal goals and customer expectations.
• Monitor process and personnel performance, remove operating impediments, and achieve established operating goals.
• Promote a safe, secure, sanitary, cost-effective, timely, and high-quality manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in Operations, Quality, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience applying Continuous Improvement, Lean, and Six Sigma tools.
• Experience managing personnel as a leader of leaders.
• Ability to train personnel, manage teams, and promote a culture of safety.
• Pre-Advanced English; an advanced level is preferred for top candidates.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Quality/Productivity, Business Administration, or Project Management.
• Advanced English.
