Sr. Manager Software Engineering

What you will do

• Lead one or more software engineering teams developing and maintaining applications and systems.
• Translate business requirements into technical roadmaps and guide solution design, development, testing, and implementation.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration, technology planning, prioritization, and coordinated delivery across multiple teams.
• Improve software quality, reliability, resiliency, monitoring, and operational stability.
• Manage performance, coaching, mentoring, capability development, and resource planning for technical team members.
• Support labor, software, and external service budgets and report variances to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education.
• 10–15 years of broad and deep experience providing expert software engineering competence.
• 3–6 years of managerial experience planning and managing resources to deliver defined objectives.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance.
• Experience with software development technologies, cloud-based infrastructure and services, systems testing, architecture, documentation, project scheduling, and risk management.
• Strong planning, analytical, communication, technical leadership, and team development skills.
