Senior Lead DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Hybrid role based near one of hirify.global's corporate offices in McLean, Virginia; Dallas, Texas; or Memphis, Tennessee, United States. Travel up to 10%.

What you will do

• Architect cloud platforms, enterprise DevOps architectures, reference patterns, and infrastructure automation solutions.
• Build and maintain code-driven automation for consistent development, testing, and production environments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD tools and pipelines across Agile teams, with GitLab preferred.
• Design, configure, deploy, tune, and operate Kubernetes clusters, with EKS preferred, and containerized applications.
• Drive the MSK/Kafka roadmap, including upgrades, observability, and architectural improvements.
• Support API gateways, API management platforms, reliability engineering, and on-call operations for mission-critical cloud services.

Requirements

• Seven years of professional experience in technology or a related field.
• At least five years of experience with CI tools such as GitLab or Bamboo.
• At least four years architecting Continuous Delivery automation, administering Kubernetes, and working with AWS cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting and experience deploying and operating API platforms in Kubernetes environments.
• Experience supporting reliability efforts and participating in on-call rotations.
• Ability to work near one of the three specified United States office locations in a hybrid arrangement.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's or associate degree, or equivalent technology experience.
• Ten or more years of professional technology experience.
• Management experience.
• Python or Terraform scripting experience.
