Lead DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote - US

Salary: $175,000–$225,000 per year, plus an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers while providing technical direction and support.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that automate build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability, performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, security, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities with SRE, Security, and IT teams.
• Collaborate with software and data engineers to improve application performance, reliability, and developer efficiency.
• Participate in incident response and on-call support, including troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of DevOps experience, including 2 years in a leadership position.
• Expert knowledge of cloud concepts and services such as EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, EBS, VPC, and Route 53.
• Expert-level Linux knowledge and strong scripting skills for automation and tooling.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools, including Terraform and SaltStack or equivalents.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or ECS, microservices architectures, CI/CD tools, and monitoring and logging platforms.
• Strong security, database troubleshooting, incident management, communication, and leadership skills.
