Technician – Information Technologies (IT)

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada (Hybrid); occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Salary: CAD 55,000–65,000 per year, excluding benefits and potential bonuses.

What you will do

• Configure, install, test, upgrade, and maintain workstations, mobile devices, software, and other IT assets.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support for software, hardware, networking, and user access issues.
• Manage user accounts, access rights, security controls, backups, updates, and system logs.
• Coordinate IT equipment installations and support activities with site representatives and vendors.
• Support IT infrastructure projects, incident resolution, technical documentation, and equipment standards.
• Coordinate support at the Vancouver administrative site and manage priorities with local executives.

Requirements

• College diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar IT support role.
• Experience supporting Windows environments, Windows Server, Active Directory, Remote Desktop, mobile device fleets, Intune, and FortiClient VPN.
• Experience supporting Lenovo, Dell, and Apple hardware, as well as using JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, prioritization, structured-work, and customer-service skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.

Nice to have

• PowerShell and software packaging experience.
• Wireless network management experience, including controllers, security, and SSIDs.
• Experience with Apple systems and iPhone devices.
• French proficiency.
