IT Software Developer Internship 2027

Location: Modesto, California, United States. Hybrid role with occasional telecommuting; candidates must live within a commutable distance.

Salary: $26.50–$28.50 per hour.

What you will do

• Build and maintain applications, systems, and integrations across web, mobile, cloud, database, and production service environments.
• Develop full-stack code and work with databases and cloud services.
• Build, deploy, debug, and test services and integrations.
• Create technical documentation, system diagrams, and workflows.
• Collaborate with Application Development, Business Analysis, and Data Services teams and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Informatics, with graduation expected between December 2027 and June 2029.
• Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills.
• Previous software development experience through coursework, personal projects, internships, or open-source contributions.
• Proficiency with cloud development, databases, and full-stack software development.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Employment-based visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI agent integrations or agentic engineering.
