Software Engineer 1 (Cloud/Platform/Mobile/SaaS): Building and supporting software products and engineering systems for financial technology users across frontend, backend, fullstack, and mobile environments with an accent on scalable applications, APIs, databases, and cloud-based services. Focus on learning modern engineering practices, collaborating across disciplines, and delivering solutions for millions of consumers and small businesses.
Location: Mountain View, California; Atlanta, Georgia; Charlotte, North Carolina; New York, New York; or San Diego, California
Salary: Base pay ranges from $53.5–$72 per hour in San Diego, $55.5–$75 per hour in Mountain View, and $57.5–$78 per hour in New York. The role is also eligible for cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do
- Build and support core products and engineering systems in cloud, platform, mobile, and SaaS environments.
- Develop scalable web applications and responsive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks.
- Develop server-side applications, databases, RESTful APIs, and API integrations.
- Contribute to mobile applications for Android and iOS and integrate them with cloud-based APIs.
- Apply software design, programming, Agile, and engineering best practices with guidance from experienced team members.
- Collaborate with customers, designers, UX specialists, backend engineers, and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Less than two years of industry experience; coursework, internships, personal projects, or academic experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C++.
- Foundational understanding of Agile development, object-oriented design, and programming principles.
- Basic knowledge of frontend web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong written, verbal, and collaboration skills.
- Awareness of AI concepts, including Generative AI, and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
Nice to have
- Experience with React, AngularJS, Vue.js, React Native, or Flutter.
- Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Express, Spring MVC, Django, Git, Jenkins, or Travis.
- Experience with Android Studio, Xcode, Objective-C, Swift, or Java for mobile development.
