IT Data Analyst Internship 2027

Location: Modesto, California, United States; hybrid work with occasional telecommuting and residence within commuting distance required

What you will do

• Support business systems analysis, data analysis, and developer/programmer projects.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Winemaking, and Research & Development teams.
• Answer business questions, improve reporting, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Rotate through Application Development, Business Analysis, and/or Data Services projects.
• Apply data and statistical methods to meaningful IT and business initiatives.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program, with graduation between December 2027 and June 2029.
• Eligible fields include Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Informatics, Marketing Research, Cognitive Science, and Applied or Quantitative Psychology.
• Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
• Working knowledge of Python, R, and SQL.
• Knowledge of advanced statistical concepts such as random forests, ensemble methods, nearest-neighbor methods, and K-Means.
• Must be at least 18 years old; employment-based visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Previous internship or experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or Information Technology.
• Experience with AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar cloud and data platforms.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate data analysis.
• Coursework or projects in statistics, experimentation, or data visualization.
