System Design Analyst II - Clinical Systems (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid role in North Chicago, Illinois, United States

Salary: $84,500–$162,000 annual base pay

What you will do

• Design and deliver clinical trial systems, integrations, and changes across EDC, IRT, and ePRO platforms.
• Develop and maintain system design methodologies aligned with industry standards, protocols, and common data standards.
• Optimize system functionality, user experience, data flow, and consistency across therapeutic areas and programs.
• Track study progress, plan work, and identify solutions for timeline and quality risks.
• Coordinate with Clinical Data Organization and cross-functional stakeholders on study objectives and dependencies.
• Lead innovation and process improvement initiatives while coaching and mentoring team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management information systems, computer science, life sciences, or an equivalent field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of hands-on technical study build experience in EDC.
• Technical study build experience in Medidata RAVE is required.
• In-depth knowledge of clinical trial processes and CDASH is required; knowledge of SDTM is required.
• Ability to influence without direct authority, communicate effectively, analyze complex information, and coach or mentor in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to work in the hybrid North Chicago, Illinois role.

Nice to have

• Technical study build experience with Veeva EDC.
• Master’s degree.
