What you will do

• Lead multiple engineering squads delivering scalable wallet, payment, and transaction-processing solutions.
• Set strategic direction for engineering initiatives and align execution with organisational goals.
• Mentor and coach engineers and tech leads through feedback, career plans, and tailored learning.
• Contribute to technical design reviews, code reviews, and critical incident escalations when needed.
• Establish effective, efficient, and scalable delivery practices across engineering teams.
• Promote continuous learning, collaboration, and collective ownership of engineering outcomes.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background building and delivering production systems.
• Experience managing multiple high-performing engineering squads.
• Experience creating and executing strategic engineering plans aligned with business objectives.
• Significant experience mentoring and coaching engineers and technical leads.
• Strong understanding of scalable systems, modern development practices, and engineering best practices.
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, microservices, large-scale distributed systems, Kubernetes, Terraform, TypeScript, Svelte, GraphQL, Node.js, or React.
